Selecting a telescope is not simply about choosing the largest aperture or longest focal length. The ideal setup depends on sky quality, atmospheric conditions, imaging goals, and target size. A larger telescope can provide greater resolution and light-gathering ability, but its performance is limited by the atmosphere. Under poor seeing conditions, a smaller telescope may produce sharper and more consistent results.
